Be careful with
fruit juices
that aren't
freshly squeezed,
such as in a
carton, pack or
bottle. It also
has been
cooked for
preservation so
much of its
nutrients get
lost. Look for
unsweetened
juice that
doesn't contain
sorbitol or
high levels of
fructose
because they
may cause
restlessness,
gas and stomach
distress in
infants. This
according to a
report in the
Archives of
Pediatric and
Adolescent
Medicine.
Be sure to have
fresh juice if
possible or
look for
non-sweetened
juice with
nothing but its
natural sugars.
Freshly
squeezed
fruit is good
for the
intestines,
the bones and
the organs.
Especially when
you drink it in
the morning on
an empty stomach.
To meet your
5 to 9 pieces
of fresh
fruits a day,
you can squeeze
the fruits
instead of
pealing them
and eating them
by hand.
Squeezing is
much more
efficient: one
glass of 2
squeezed oranges,
2 mandarins and
1 red grapefruit
can be squeezed
in 5 minutes.
If you eat 1
banana afterwards
you already have
consumed 6 pieces
of fresh fruits!
This also means
that you can
consume the
largest part of
the required
nutritional
elements you
need for a day
in just
10 minutes...
